A B C D E F G H I K L M O P Q R S T V W Find your Air Bag Complete System now!A typical air bag system has many parts, some more complex than others. One part is an air bag module which contains a generator and an air bag. Another part, is a crash sensor, as well as a monitoring unit. The last bit of parts, is a steering wheel coil and an indicator lamp, both of which is important because this is what lets you know that the air bag is actually working. All of these parts are put together via a wiring harness that is ran through the cars battery. Once the car is turned off the air bag system also holds a charge just in case you happen to get hit while your car is off. Some charges will hold up to about ten minutes while others only a few seconds. Also, since an air bag is vital to a car, it does a self test each time you start the car to test its productivity.
