| 1997 Mercedes 240D Anti Lock Brake Computer I recently learned from my service garage after getting an ABS trouble code and replacing my left front wheel hub that my EBCM in my 1997 Chevrolet S10 4x4 is in fact defective. I experience different situations with the ABS/BRAKE dash lights. Sometimes it all seems to be dependent on the vehicle speed. Typically at interstate speeds, the ABS and BRAKE lights will illuminate in an alternating fashion, although this happens at slower speeds at times as well.
